Scientia Veritas (SV) is pleased to announce that it has been
awarded a contract for Risk Assessment Technical Assistance by the
Navy Environmental Health Center (NEHC), Environmental Programs
Directorate. The contract covers use of SV for toxicological,
risk assessment management, expert opinion, and technical support on
high-profile, complex human health risk assessment projects.
SV
will provide NEHC with expert technical assistance to the Department
of Defense on subjects including the following:

Scientific
peer review of deterministic and probabilistic risk assessment
component;

Scientific
literature review;
-
Participating
in meetings to discuss risk assessment-related issues;

Authoring
technical issue papers on specified topics related to human
health risk assessments;

Toxicological
support;
-
Background
analysis support;
-
Spatial
analysis and modeling of exposure point concentrations;

Responding
to comments by peer reviewers regarding human health risk
assessments;
-
Providing
guidance on bioavailability issues affecting site-specific
exposure pathways;
-
Interpretation
of existing and new U.S. EPA risk assessment guidance, policy,
and directives; and
-
Conducting
technology cost analysis for specified perchlorate clean-up
values.
